|We make our senbei rice crackers with the finest non-glutinous rice and mineral-packed salt to let the natural sweetness of the senbei be the main flavor. We roast our senbei one-at-a-time at a steady 250 degrees C. The delicately cooked sembei melt in your mouth with a lingering salty-sweetness, making them a perfect low-calorie snack that tastes good and is easy on your body.
The quality of rice is a very important factor in making tasty senbei, but a little known fact is that the amount of water contained in the rice is also a crucial element. Rice also loses its flavor as it oxidizes over time; that’s why we vacuum pack each senbei immediately after flavoring to seal in the freshness.
Most non-glutinous rice senbei on the market also use wheat flour to help bind the rice together, but we do not use any wheat to make our senbei. Our pure rice senbei are finished off with a quick, one second roasting at 250 degrees C that gives our senbei their delicate texture and really brings out the natural flavors of the rice.
